The Computer and PC Are The Ultimate Tools
The social interaction process on the computer has hardly been considered more than the way to keep in touch with friends and acquaintances. It may be that we need to re-think just how effective these tools can be when used in the workplace. Most individuals today are somehow connected to a network of friends and work associates via Facebook, Tweeter or any number of other like sites.
However, take a moment to consider that within that network there might be an answer for the dilemma facing your industry problem. This is not about being at the top of your game socially but rather involving others in your network in the problem solving game.
The question might arise as to the effectiveness of the new social media legacy as opposed to the legacy media legacy. There is a definite need to establish a guide as to how social networking is working. It is a general rule of thumb that the 90/1 rule will apply.
This states that 1% of those participating will produce the information while 90% will merely read the information which leaves 9% will contribute on occasion.
If the number of employees is large, you could still expect to have a good amount of ideas in your PC network. The effectiveness of this modern approach will only be as good as how many times information is re-sent and shared with other bloggers in the same business.
Obviously, within your network, there must be a high level of security measures established in the beginning. Some information can be of a most sensitive nature and would require some manner of security in which only those who are authorized would have access.
The Department of Defense’s social media operates on an internal network and has specific guidelines to only allow access to those personnel who are authorized users. This rule applies to both classified as well as unclassified material.
The words of wisdom suggest that the choice of two social sites will best benefit any group but let the focus be directed at those two and no others.
