The first is the screen size. A laptop with a screen size of less than 13″ has more mobility due to lower weight and a screen of more than 14″ will best serve for gaming and entertainment as well as photo editing. Also if the user has vision issues the larger screen will be better for enhancing the display. The speed needed would best be served with at least a 2.0 GHZ processor.

Whether the use is only personal emailing and net surfing to running an entire business it pays to list the main activities anticipated. For instance, if one is looking for only social networking with email options then there is not likely going to be a need for programs that are designed for more intensive use.
